ABOUT
Morris Patent Law was founded in 2016 by Jeff Morris. Jeff is a registered patent attorney with over a decade of patent prosecution experience gained working hand-in-hand with large and small technology companies in Silicon Valley.

Morris Patent Law operates out of Aurora, Nebraska (pop. ~4800) and leverages experience, technology, and small town value to provide boutique patent prosecution services to clients regardless of location.


PRACTICE FOCUS
In addition to drafting patent applications and office action responses, Jeff has extensive experience with appeal briefs, pre-appeal briefs, after-final consideration program 2.0 filings, and patent term adjustment matters.

Jeff focuses his practice mainly on the electrical and software arts, and has prosecuted patent applications on topics such as: analog circuits, business methods, construction/farm equipment tracking and positioning, database query software, disk drive components, electronic devices, global positioning system (GPS) devices and processes, hard disk drive components, image analysis software, medical equipment, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), motion sensor devices, satellite navigation, software processes, touch sensor devices, toys, and virtual machines.


NOTABLE EXPERIENCE
From 2004 to 2016, Jeff worked as an associate and partner in a patent prosecution boutique law firm based in San Jose, California.

Jeff also has 30 years of leadership, management, and technical assignments in the military - experience which helps him bring a practical, real-world focus to his client representation. His military assignments included duties as an ICBM (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile) crew commander, a space systems acquisition manager, a developmental engineer, and various duties as a military attorney (i.e., JAG) for both the Air Force and the Space Force.
